Ward and Councillor Representation Review
Friday 21 September 2018

It is a requirement of the Local Government Act 1995 for a ward and councillor representation review to take place to ensure an appropriate balance exists in the ratio of electors to elected members. The city last reviewed its wards and councillor representation in 2016, following the impacts of the City of Perth Act 2016. Due to an inequitable distribution of electors within the city’s current ward boundaries, the city is undertaking another review.

The ward and councillor representation review will consider a variety of options to fnd a model that best suits the city. To have a say on the future structure of the council you can review the discussion paper outlining the options and view maps of the proposed ward boundaries online.

We want to hear your thoughts. Enter your submission via the city’s online engagement hub, Have Your Say Subiaco at www.haveyoursay.subiaco.wa.gov.au

Hard copies are also available at the City of Subiaco’s Administration Centre and Subiaco Library. Public submissions close at 5pm on Tuesday 6 November 2018.
