Subiaco recognised for community safety plans

The city of Subiaco has been awarded two commendations for achievements in safety and injury prevention initiatives at the WA Children’s Environmental and Health Local Government Policy Awards.

The awards promote and celebrate local governments that demonstrate outstanding commitment to building and maintaining environments that support the health of children.

The city received commendations for achievements in Road and Active Transport Safety, recognising highlights from the city’s safe environment and road safety awareness programs, including Bike Week, and Injury prevention based on the city’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan.

The awards were presented to Mayor Penny Taylor by the Hon. David Templeman MLA Minister for Local Government, Heritage, Culture and the Arts.
