The City of Subiaco has a new Chief Executive Officer, with former Director Community and Development Services Rochelle Lavery endorsed by Council at its meeting last night.
Ms Lavery has been acting in the role since June 2018 and the appointment follows a four-month external recruitment process.
City of Subiaco Mayor Penny Taylor said that council was pleased to finalise the recruitment.
“I’d like to thank Ms Lavery for her time as acting CEO and officially welcome her to the role.
“The City of Subiaco has many challenges and exciting times ahead. Ms Lavery has demonstrated that she has the vision and commitment to lead the organisation through key projects including the Subi East redevelopment and new Local Planning Scheme,” Mayor Taylor said.
Ms Lavery said she was excited about the future of Subiaco.
“We have an amazing city with incredible things happening. I really want elected members, staff and the community to focus on working together for positive outcomes.
“We have an outstanding workforce at the City of Subiaco that I am very proud to work with,” she said.
Ms Lavery has extensive experience in local government and town planning, including private practice, and has held leadership roles at the Town of Victoria Park.
