Shoppers and retailers are facing changes this July with the introduction of WA’s ban on lightweight plastic bags. As part of this new regulation See Subiaco is introducing two fun and rewarding initiatives to promote and encourage sustainable practice among the community. 

The Keep Cup challenge runs throughout the month of July, and requires participants to purchase ten coffees in any participating cafe in Subiaco in order to receive a free glass Keep Cup. The challenge not only encourages sustainable practices, but also entices visitors to drop by and experience our great coffee offerings from a variety of Subiaco cafés.

Coffee cups are estimated to be the second-largest contributor to litter waste after plastic bottles, and Australians use around one billion disposable coffee cups each year. See Subiaco has proudly teamed up with fourteen local cafés to promote sustainable habits in our community with a fun and rewarding challenge.

How do I receive my free keep cup?

1. Look out for a sticker on the window of a participating cafe.
2. Receive your See Subiaco card and get it stamped each time you buy a coffee.
3. Fill out the short sign-up form on the back, hand it into the café and hey presto! You have yourself a beautiful new sustainable keep cup.
