Our urban forest is made up of vegetation, trees and green spaces which provide social, economic and environment benefits to the community.
Urban forest management focuses on the art and science of maintaining trees in metropolitan environments to maximise these community benefits. The city’s draft Urban Forest Strategy is currently open for comment and we want to know what you value most about our urban forest.
The strategy outlines how the city and the community can preserve the city’s urban forest, increase tree canopy, maintain waterwise park management and diversify plant species.
To find out more about the draft Urban Forest Strategy, visit us at our pop-up market stall on Saturday 23 June at Subi Farmers Market, or attend the Urban Forest presentation and Q&A session at 5.30pm on Wednesday 27 June at the City of Subiaco Administration Centre.
Consultation on the strategy closes at 4pm on Monday 9 July. To view the document, or to make a submission, visit www.haveyoursay.subiaco.wa.gov.au
