The city is helping local organisations take the wheel by giving away two mini-buses to support eligible groups to deliver services to the local community.
The eight-seater and twelve-seater Toyota HiAce buses were previously used in the city’s Home and Community Care program and will be gifted to the organisation proposing the most valuable community project, decided through a tender process.
The city is calling for applications from locally based, not-for-profit and charitable organisations, schools or associations.
We’re looking for projects that promote wellbeing and a sense of community in the city. Organisations with events, programs, projects or activities that create positive benefits for the community, develop relationships within the community and have proven community support should apply.
Tenders will be awarded to applicants or projects that align with the city’s vision and Strategic Community Plan and meet the selection criteria outlined in the tender document.
To help potential applicants navigate the tender process, the city has identified answers to some frequently asked questions.
If you think a re-gifted bus could help your organisation make tracks in the local community, follow the links below for more information, and submit your tender before 2pm on Wednesday 1 November.
