Local government elections will be held on Saturday 21 October.
Becmoing an Elected Members gives you an opportunity to be part of the decision making process, and make a positive difference in your community. If you’re considering running for council, nominations must be submitted between Thursday 7 September and Thursday 14 September.
This year there are five councillor position vacancies, and one vacancy for Mayor.
In order to nominate, you must make an appointment with the Returning Officer, who can provide further information including guides and forms for candidates and scrutineers. The City of Subiaco's Returning Officer, Gavin Cotterell can be contacted on 0404 027 191 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Potential candidates are encouraged to attend a free candidate information session on Wednesay 16 August. The evening will feature a presentation by the Western Australian Electoral Commission and an opportunity to ask questions. Find out more about nominating for council.
