The 2017 Local History Awards are now open. Run by the City of Subiaco, the biennial competition offers a great opportunity to research, record and share the city’s rich history. The awards fall into five categories, each honouring a connection that has enhanced Subiaco’s history through creating, documenting or sharing the city’s unique cultural heritage.
- Argonauts school category
- Tom Stannage house history category
- Sonya Sears photographic memory category
- Christobel Bennett personal reminiscence category
- Dom Serra open topic
Award submissions may take the form of one, or a combination of several, of the following: report, memoir, walking tour, audio recording, audio-visual recording, map, painting, drawing or photograph.
Associated text or commentary should also be included to provide context for the submissions that do not take the form of a report or memoir. For the first time, you can now submit your entries online. You can either submit a hard-copy and electronic submission.
Entries close at 5pm on Monday 28 August.
