Nominations for membership of City of Subiaco Design Review Panel

The City of Subiaco’s Design Review Panel provides independent, expert advice to applicants and council on the architecture, design and planning of significant development proposals; its aim is to facilitate an improvement in design and the quality of the built environment within the city.
The panel was established in April 2012 and the term of the current members expires on 31 March 2017. The panel will consist of six permanent members, including a chairperson, and two reserve members who can attend due to absence or particular skills/experience they may possess.
Nominations for panel members are called from persons who demonstrate a high level of expertise with appropriate qualifications and substantial experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Town/city centre planning and development
  • Heritage and urban conservation
  • Energy-efficient building design and sustainable development
  • Public space planning and development 

In addition to the above, local knowledge of, and/or experience in, Subiaco and current registration with a relevant professional body are highly desirable. Panel members should enjoy considerable professional recognition and prestige.
The term of appointment will expire on 31 March 2019.
Persons currently employed by the City of Subiaco and elected members of the City of Subiaco Council are not eligible for appointment as a member of the panel. Nominations should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and posted to City of Subiaco, PO Box 270, Subiaco WA 6904 or emailed to by 5pm on Friday 24 February 2017.
