The western, north-bound lane of Rokeby Road between Roberts and Bagot roads is scheduled to re-open by Friday 16 September when the Water Corporation and ATCO Gas works are completed.
The Water Corporation will be continuing along Rokeby Road to the Thomas Street intersection. The first section of work will take place between Bagot and Hamersley roads commencing the week of Monday 5 September and will take approximately one month. Access to all businesses and two-way traffic flow is expected to be retained.
The Water Corporation will also begin renewing 1.5 kilometres of water main along Hay Street from Monday 12 September (previously advised as Monday 5 September). This project is expected to be completed by February 2017.
The city's Rokeby Road streetscape works will take place between Roberts and Bagot roads through to Wednesday 12 October. Electrical installation works will follow and are expected to finish by Monday 7 November. These works will occur largely at night, causing only minor disruptions during the day.
All businesses along Rokeby Road are open as usual. Pedestrian access is available and alternate parking can be accessed behind Rokeby Road at the city's four town centre car stations on Rowland Street, Barker Road, Park Street and Forrest Square, where the first hour is free with a valid ticket or EasyPark session.
