2016 Photographic Award winners announced
Monday 7 November 2016

The winners of the 2016 City of Subiaco Photographic Awards were announced at a special celebration on Monday 31 October, where more than $2500 worth of prizes were awarded.

Age proved no barrier with the top spot being taken out by ffteen-year-old Fioline Oetomo. The budding young photographer won frst place overall for her photograph, Vigilant, and also took out the youth prize with Oppression and Misery.

The judges were blown away by the young talent: “Vigilant is a very commanding monochrome portrait and a very powerful image. The hooded eyes of the model give a sense of broodiness which adds to the unknown, yet very evocative, story.”

The finalist exhibition that features the best works entered in this year's competition is on display at Subiaco Library until Sunday 27 November. Make sure you visit Subiaco Library to vote for your favourite photograph in the coveted People’s Choice Award before the exhibition closes.
