Subiaco Museum a finalist at national awards
Monday 2 May 2016

The 2015 exhibition at Subiaco Museum, When the Great War Came to Subiaco, sharing local perspectives and the impact of World War One on the Subiaco community was recently shortlisted in the Museums Australia National Awards.
The exhibition, which was on display at the museum from February to November last year is a finalist in the Temporary or Travelling Exhibition category alongside the Hurtsville Museum and Gallery (NSW), Logan Art Gallery (QLD) and The Johnston Collection (VIC).
The aim of the exhibition was to extend the conversation about the Anzac Centenary and further develop local narratives of war, patriotism and loss through wartime experiences of local residents, families and the wider community.
The annual awards recognise excellence in the museum and gallery sectors, highlighting distinction in exhibitions, public programs and sustainability projects to enhance the profile of museums and galleries across the country.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday 18 May 2016.
