Technical Services relocation project

The City of Subiaco will be relocating its Technical Services operations from its current site at 2 Upham Street. The plan was endorsed by Council at the 27 February 2018 meeting and it is expected to take twelve to eighteen months before the current depot fully ceases operations.

This page will be updated as the project progresses.

Page updated 7 June 2018.

Project overview

The relocation of the city’s Technical Services division acknowledges the need to shift the city’s long-term depot operations, which include large vehicle movements and noise, away from residential areas.

Environmental and engineering staff will be moved to another vacant city-owned site at 13 Bishop Street, which will be redeveloped into a one-storey office building.

The remainder of the city’s operations services, including waste and recycling, and large plant and machinery, will be based at a leased site near Brockway Road in Shenton Park.

Ultimately, this will allow for the sale and redevelopment of the 2 Upham Street site.
