Business regulations and approvals

COVID-19 State of Emergency

Due to the decalred COVID-19 State of Emergency there are certain restrictions in place on businesses. Information on current restrictions are provided on the State Governments's website: www.wa.gov.au/

Mandatory contact registers have been expanded in WA to now include:

  • supermarkets
  • pharmacies
  • hardware
  • retail components of other businesses where customers are physically present such as bank branches
  • public and private hospitals (visitors only)
  • takeaway food and beverage services

COVID-19 Changes to fees and charges

The City of Subiaco has announced a $4 million COVID-19 response package, that includes waiving fees and charges to support small businesses. Fees for food business applications and other permits have been reduced to $0. Contact the City for more information.
