Portrait of Homelessness - Challenges and Opportunities

Accommodation-and-homelessness-salvation-army-2x3.jpgDuring National Homelessness Week the City of Subiaco invites you to a presentation by three guest speakers on the challenges of homelessness in our community and the opportunities to contribute to the solution.

Matt Vapor presents ‘The Lasting Effects of Homelessness’. Matt has lived experience of homelessness. By sharing his personal experiences he hopes that you challenge your beliefs and learn about homelessness and the related mental health issues. Also, understanding that these related issues last long after someone has stopped sleeping rough.

Major Lyn Jones, Salvation Army Floreat Corps presents the services and assistance the Salvation Army provide to those that are experiencing homelessness and are at risk of homelessness. Lyn will also talk about the opportunities available for you to contribute to the solution.
 
Danny Cloghan, President St Vincent de Paul Subiaco Conference presents the services and assistance St Vincent de Paul provide to those that are experiencing homelessness and are at risk of homelessness. Danny will also talk about the opportunities available for you to contribute to the solution.
