Public events are a great part of community life and are encouraged by the City.

The City has a responsibility to ensure events held within the City contribute to an environment which ensures the health and safety of the community and visitors.

If you are organising a public event, approval must be obtained from the relevant branches of the City. Please review the City's Hosting a public event - Information and application guide (PDF, 5.1MB), which should be utilised by all event organisers.
