Work set to begin on Postal Walk upgrade

Work on the City’s Postal Walk project to upgrade walking and seating spaces is due to start on Wednesday 24 May.

The project, as part of the broader SubiPOP Public Realm Upgrade, will provide additional space for the community to sit and connect, and is aimed at providing a safer, more attractive and more accessible area for everyone to enjoy.

Works will include a new lighting scheme to make the space more appealing in the evenings, public artworks and the installation of new decking designed to protect and support the root system of the existing Flooded Gum Tree.

All businesses in the area will remain open for trade during construction, with residents advised there may be some limited access between Rokeby Road and the Park Street carpark. Works are expected to take around six weeks.

The Postal Walk upgrades have been made possible thanks to the financial support of the RAC's ReconnectWA program. ReconnectWA seeks to reimagine and revitalise streets and public spaces, laying the foundation to support safe, sustainable, and connected communities.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during the construction period. We look forward to unveiling the completed upgrades once the construction work is complete.
