sunset@subi free concert series returns for 35th season

The City of Subiaco’s popular sunset@subi concert series is back for its 35th season to help locals unwind and make the most of the warm summer evenings.

This year’s performers at the free outdoor concerts cover a diverse range of genres from Chicago-style blues to high energy Latin rhythms, and everything in between.

sunset@subi concert goers are encouraged to bring along a picnic dinner or grab something from one of the delicious local eateries throughout the City, before enjoying the live music as the sun goes down on a relaxed Sunday. A dessert van will be at each concert for those with a sweet tooth.

There will be six concerts in total, running from 6pm to 8pm on various dates from 18 December 2022 to 5 February 2023, with an Auslan interpreter present at all shows to allow a more inclusive environment for all community members.

City of Subiaco Mayor David McMullen said the sunset@subi concert series is well loved by locals and visitors - who have been supporting the event for more than 30 years.

“We see a fantastic community turn-out for these concerts every year, and they provide a fun and relaxed environment for people to come together and listen to great live music,” he said.

“I encourage everyone to gather a group of family and friends, or just come along, to enjoy these talented local musicians doing what they do best in the setting of some of our beautiful parks.”

Each year thousands of people attend concerts across six big nights, and this year is expected to draw similar crowds to the City.

All concerts are free to attend and no bookings are required. The City of Subiaco has free parking in Subipark car stations all weekend – no ticket required.
