Postal Walk artwork: callout for alumni

If you were one of the local students who contributed to the Subiaco Centenary Tiles artwork at Postal Walk back in 1997, the City of Subiaco wants to hear from you.

The Postal Walk upgrade is nearing completion and the City would like to invite the people who helped contribute to the original artwork to a special event. If this is you, please email place@subiaco.wa.gov.au.

The upgrade includes the reinterpretation and preservation of parts of the artwork to help preserve this piece of important local history.

Updated lighting, and the installation of new decking designed to protect and support the root system of the resident Flooded Gum tree are also in the works.

The project seeks to create an outdoor space for the community to rest and connect, while providing a safer, more attractive and more accessible area for everyone to enjoy.

Contributing students were from Subiaco Primary School, Jolimont Primary School, Rosalie Primary School, and Perth Modern.

There will be a special opening event to celebrate Postal Walk's upgrade on Thursday 31 August at 5.30pm. Come along to hear from Mayor David McMullen, RAC's Executive Team and contributing artists. RSVPs essential: https://events.humanitix.com/postal-walk-opening-event-community
