Pop-up exhibition coming to Rokeby Road

A pop-up exhibition is set to take over a vacant storefront on Rokeby Road thanks to the City’s support through its destination marketing initiative, See Subiaco.

Temp – a Perth-based, no fixed address gallery – is opening its next project, At the Table, in Subiaco after successful exhibitions in Northbridge that drew crowds from across Perth.

The exhibition will focus on the benefit and influence that hospitality brings in creating connections and building community – a theme that’s fitting considering Subiaco’s rich history of both hospitality and creativity.

A number of local and regional artists’ work will be showcased, connecting early career creatives with new collectors.

“The table holds much more than just food—it is a space where stories are shared, cultures merge, and lasting memories are created,” Temp founder Kate Parker said.

“Through At the Table, we aim to explore the rituals and storytelling that unfold in these moments, shaping our identities, fostering understanding, and cultivating a sense of belonging."

Mayor David McMullen said the City was proud to support this unique exhibition.

“The City of Subiaco’s identity is strongly associated with being a hospitality destination, making us the perfect location for this exhibition - which will thoughtfully delve into themes of how sharing food over a story can create connection, community and a sense of belonging.

“The 'pop-up', 'no fixed address' nature of this exhibition is particularly exciting. It will be a moment in time experience; another part of our ongoing activation of Subiaco.”

There will also be a program of community events and workshops around the exhibition, including artistic workshops and panel discussions.

At the Table will be open from 12 October to 11 November at 127 Rokeby Road, Subiaco. It’s free to attend.
