New guide to simplify event approvals

A new Public Event Guide is here to make organising an event in the City of Subiaco easier.
 
The City welcomes events, of all types and sizes, that contribute to the vibrancy and wellbeing of the community and increase visitation that supports businesses.
 
In tandem with this, the City has a responsibility to ensure all events that are open to the public are safe and healthy for people to attend, while having minimal impact on surrounding properties.
 
The new guide has been developed to inform event organisers of key responsibilities and regulatory obligations, and to assist with planning and operations of a successful event.
 
It covers a range of topics that should be considered prior to submitting an event application and also details the approvals process which has evolved into a ‘concierge’ approach; this means that event organisers have one point of contact throughout the process, resulting in better communication and a more seamless experience.
