Local Native Plant Subsidy Scheme starts soon

The City has partnered with the Western Suburbs Regional Organisation of Councils (WESROC), to offer City of Subiaco ratepayers up to eighty local native plants for their verge and garden at the subsidised cost of $1.75 each.

As well as enhancing and supporting local biodiversity, native plants require little water or fertiliser once they’re established. They also make for a beautiful garden or verge.

From Saturday 1 May, APACE Nursery in North Fremantle will be open for the scheme from 8am to 3pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 12pm on Saturdays.

You can check the APACE website or Facebook for stock availability and variety.

The scheme is limited to the month of May (or until stock runs out) and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Proof of residency is required.

Please contact the nursey for more information.

Update 28 April

Update 27 May
The scheme will be extended for another couple of weeks until 14 June.
