Free family fun day at Subi Oval

The City is partnering with DevelopmentWA for a free family fun day this November to celebrate a new era for Subiaco Oval as the landscaping and amenities are completed.

The event will take place on Sunday 26 November from 10am to 2pm, and will have fun for the whole family including kids rides, a bubble zone, mini golf, art and craft activities, and face painting.

For those a bit older, there will be live music performances, footy games and competitions, market stalls, and plenty of giveaways.

The day will also mark the opening of the refurbished Sandover Medal Walk – with appearances from Sandover medallists – and the opening of a new parkour course.

Mayor David McMullen said the event was an opportunity to rediscover Subi Oval.

“Subi Oval is known by most Western Australians, and by footy fans across the country,” he said.

“Now that we can all head onto these iconic grounds, and surrounding public spaces, it's fitting that this celebration will take the form of a family fun day. Everyone is welcome.

“Come to the celebration, and then head into Subiaco to see just how well our City is doing.”
