Coldplay’s supporting act to play in Subiaco

The supporting act for Coldplay’s Perth concert – King Ibis – will be playing an intimate outdoor gig in Subiaco shortly after stepping off the big stage as part of Sundays on the Deck.

Sundays on the Deck will bring two intimate outdoor music sessions to Postal Walk in Subiaco (near the post office) this summer for locals and visitors to enjoy for free.

Each session features two artists/bands for 45-minute sets that will bring a relaxed, family-friendly vibe complete with bean bags, rugs and entertainment for the kids – all underneath the setting sun.

The first session on Sunday 19 November will celebrate the enchanting sounds of Clare Perrott alongside the soulful melodies of Jordy Maxwell.

On Sunday 10 December, The Stamps will play alongside King Ibis who will be fresh from their performance with Coldplay at Optus Stadium.

Both Sundays on the Deck sessions will take place from 5pm to 7pm on the newly upgraded Postal Walk deck.

Mayor David McMullen encouraged people to come along and enjoy these unique, laidback gigs.

“We’ve worked with Suburban Vibes to bring these gigs to Subiaco and make sure they’re a relaxed event that the whole family will enjoy.

“There will be plenty of local businesses open; so grab a takeaway, sit under the shade of the Flooded Gum Tree, and enjoy some great music as the sun goes down on the weekend. Prolong the fun by wandering to a nearby bar or restaurant afterwards.

“Great food, great company and great music on a summer's weekend in Subiaco. It sells itself.”

Sundays on the Deck is brought to you by See Subiaco – a City of Subiaco initiative – in collaboration with Suburban Vibes.
