The City of Subiaco’s Youth Achievement Grants are open and ready for applications from young people aged between 12 and 25 that are living, studying, or working within the City of Subiaco.
The grants offer up to $450 to help with associated costs of participation in developmental opportunities, events, or programs.
Whether it’s in the arts, sports, education or community service, the grants enable young people to make a positive impact in their chosen field, and in turn, contribute to the vibrancy of the Subiaco community.
A recent grant recipient is 13-year-old Kobe, who received a Youth Achievement Grant that helped sent her to the 2024 Australian Junior Chess Championship, where she won two prizes: 1
st place of under 16 girls Problem Solving, and 3
rd place of under 16 girls Blitz.
Kobe’s mum Rosa said, “I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for this invaluable support provided through the grant. The funding is crucial to us and we sincerely appreciate the continued support and encouragement from the City of Subiaco.”
“Your support makes a significant impact on our ability to contribute to her career development in chess.”
The City encourages young people to apply
