Arts hub discussions to be held

At its meeting on 22 November 2022, Council requested CEO Colin Cameron to commence discussions with DevelopmentWA regarding use of buildings at the former Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) site as an arts hub for the City.

Last year, at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 23 November, Council resolved to “request a report on the feasibility of a City-supported Subiaco Artists’ Hub”.

The resulting feasibility report identified the former PMH Outpatients Building and Boiler Building as potential sites for artist studios, an exhibition venue and a classroom, to meet demand for space to support visual arts practise in the City.

The City will now engage with DevelopmentWA to understand the opportunities for this site.
