Bike Week 2017
Bike Week is Western Australia’s annual celebration of people riding bikes – and the City of Subiaco is out to make sure it’s a great celebration!
In 2017, the City of Subiaco is working with local businesses to double the excitement of Bike Week. Not only will we hold our annual Bike to Work Breakfast on Friday 24 March; we’re supporting Subi Farmers Market to hold their first Ride to Market event on Saturday 25 March.

Bike to Work Breakfast
On Friday 24 March, the City of Subiaco will be celebrating cycling at Subiaco Train Station. Attendees will have access to free breakfast, free bike maintenance, City of Subiaco cycling information, stalls from local and state cycling groups and the opportunity to win great prizes.
To receive a free breakfast all riders need to do is register online by 17 March, and follow the instructions in their confirmation email.
Bring a Friend prize draw
Bring a friend to the breakfast who doesn’t usually ride and go in the draw to win a $100 voucher from selected shops to spend in Subiaco. Enter as you register online.
Get your work colleagues together for the Workplace challenge and you could win a free lunch in Subiaco. The workplace with the highest number of staff registered for the event will win a $200 lunch voucher for the team. Enter as you register online.
Download the poster and promote the event around your workplace to get a team together!
Why not take your cycling one step further than just riding to work? Cycling is an excellent way to get around Subiaco on the weekend, especially as a family.
On Saturday 25 March, Subi Farmers Market and the City of Subiaco want to encourage you to buy local by riding local. Ride your bike to the markets, bring your helmet to the City of Subiaco stall and you can receive a share in $1300 of vouchers for use at the markets. Make sure you arrive before all the vouchers are gone!
There’s no need to register; simply arrive on the day and enjoy a day at the markets with your family. For more information about Subi Farmers Market, go to their website.
Not sure how best to get to Subiaco Station on your bike? Plan your trip using Google Maps, TravelSmart maps or specifically-created bike maps.
If you plan to ride to your local train station, bike rails are provided at all train stations and secure bike shelters are provided at selected stations. Visit the Transperth website for more information.
This event is supported by the Department of Transport and WestCycle as part of Bike Week 2017.
