Forrest Square will be transformed into an outdoor concert venue when WAAPA Gospel Choir take to the stage to close out this summer’s sunset@subi concert series.
The square will be transformed with artificial turf, picnic benches, sun umbrellas and beanbag lounge chairs. This will be the first concern held at the square, which features the new multi-coloured koala and kangaroo murals created during Paint Subi last year.
WAAPA Gospel Choir is an ensemble featuring students from the contemporary music course at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and will fill the urban space with uplifting and soulful songs and music.
Concert-goers are encouraged to pack a picnic dinner, or grab something your favourite local take-away, and arrive by 5pm.
Free parking is available at city-operated carparks located in Barker Road, Churchill Street, Park Street, Rowland Street and Railway Road. Find out more about free parking options.
When: Sunday 11 February, 5pm to 7pm
