The City of Subiaco proudly presents the 2017 Tim Winton Award for Young Writers. Back for its twenty-fifth year, the award provides an opportunity for young people to put pen to paper to exercise their imagination and put their linguistic skills to work.
The city is calling on West Australian school students in years one to twelve to submit a creative story up to 2000
words in length, with our judges are looking for original ideas, excellent story development and high-quality writing skills.
It’s time to let your imagination take you somewhere unexpected. Put pen to paper, or fngers to keyboard,
and start sharing your story today. Entries are open now and close on Monday 26 June.
To enter, register your details online and upload your story on the Tim Winton Awards page.
Good luck, young authors.
