Congratulations to Ernest Chua for being the winner of the first of four olive trees to be given away as part of the Subiaco Museum’s latest exhibition Founding ‘New Subiaco’: The Benedictine Connection.
During his recent visit to the museum in September, Ernest provided feedback on the current exhibition by filling in a two-minute survey. By doing so, he was entered into the draw and subsequently won the first olive tree to be given away.
Founding ‘New Subiaco’: The Benedictine Connection follows the journey of Spanish monks José Serra and Rosendo Salvado from their beginnings in Europe to their eventual separation at New Subiaco in the mid-nineteenth century. Within the exhibition, accounts of partnership, perseverance and changing vision tell the story of the rise and fall of the Benedictine monastery at New Subiaco.
The exhibition will be on display through to the end of January 2015. For details on opening times and the exhibition itself, please visit the city's museum page.
